    I've got a 97 with the v6 4x4 and 240,000 miles
I had for a couple years that needs new struts. The bushings are egg shaped pretty good, not sure how good they are working could be wore out from when I got it. Anyways, it rarely goes to town, mostly farm use, rough fields, dirt roads and pastures. Currently it beats pretty hard on bumps and I'm wanting to smooth that out best I can. I know it won't be perfect, but would like to improve it since they need changing. Any suggestions would be great, the bushings have been wore out since I got it so maybe just anything will get what I want or is there something more specific I should be looking for? Don't care if its got super highway handling just want to dampen the beating on some bumps. I'm not doing any crazy highspeed driving through rough terrain, but it gets pretty rough at times. Any thoughts are appreciated. Also I've got a flatbed on it with some extra weight from tools if that makes a difference. Replaced the sagging leafsprings with Heavyduty ones when I put the flatbed on so I may be limited in how soft a ride I can achieve.

Probably just get Bilstein 5100s all the way around for the biggest bang for your buck. If you think you need new coils on the front, you can get the front 5100s assembled with a new spring, or you could re-use your old front springs if you are ok with disassembling and re-assembling a coilover. Can buy them from all over, but here's what i'm talking about>

10/4 thanks. I' replaced the rear shocks when I put the new leaf springs on about 2 years ago just used Napa brand, do you think I could get away with just doing the fronts or would the rears make a big difference as well?
