    Hey guys ,
My cars battery keeps dying as soon as I turn the car off ,
My truck is a 2022 Toyota Tacoma so I doubt the alternator already went bad on it ,
Do you guys have any suggestions ? any fuses I need to check ?
what can I do to figure the problem out ?

Have you had the battery tested? Sounds like a bad battery.

    1. Unplug any aftermarket electronic doodads. Including phone chargers etc
    2. Have the battery load tested by someone that knows what they’re doing
    3. Check for parasitic draw
    4. If driving short distances, try driving it for a longer amount of time

    5. Check the voltage when the engine is running. It should be about 14v (alternator output) when running and about 12v (battery output) when not running.

But you say if you turn the truck off and immediately try to restart it nothing happens?

How do you get it started then?

If you have ruled out the battery, then the problem is likely the alternator or a parasitic draw. You can easily test each with a multimeter. Avoid throwing money at the problem by replacing parts that might not be broken.

No battery dies that quickly (it would take an insane amout of current to kill a good battery in minutes) if it's good, have you verified that it's charging? As stated above it should be near 14v (13.2v minimum) with the truck running and about 12.6v (12v minimum) with the truck off.

The alternator bad on a 2 year old truck ?
Also if it was a parasitic draw wouldn’t it take time for my truck not to start after ?
Because it immediately doesn’t start after driving it.
I just drove it for 6-8 miles on the highway to charge the battery and nothing. soon as I turned it off the battery was dead and wouldn’t start.

I can't say, but testing for both is simple and easy. There isn't a better way forward. I would check the alternator first, because it is the easiest.

Either the battery is not holding a charge, the alternator is not charging the battery, or there is an excessive draw on the battery. I suppose also there could be a problem with the ECU, start button, or something... some electrical gremlin, but I suggest ruling out the easy ones first.

CAVEAT: I would actually expect the truck to give you a message if the alternator was not working, but since it's never happened to me, idk.

Do you have any aftermarket electrical work? Did you take the plastics off the battery posts?

I had to get one of my speakers replaced because it blew, but I was already having this issue prior.

you don’t know until you get them both checked. There is no rule that says “just because it’s new, means its guaranteed good.”

Go get the battery and alternator tested, most auto parts stores will do it for free.

If your gona refuse to test/check anything I'm not sure how we're supposed to help.

2 year old truck. If the battery has been replaced several times and you don’t have aftermarket electronics, go to the dealer and have them diagnose under warranty.

agreed, OP seems a bit volatile.
