    NEED BEST RESOLUTION
New wheels and tires on my 1998 tacoma manual locking hubs- ISSUE
Someone run into this issue before?

    Original 16x7 wheel ok with 265 70 16 tires

    ISSUE BELOW

Moving to or attempting to move to

    MB mag wheels 16x8.5 and 265 75 16 tires

ISSUE WHEEL WILL NOT GO OVER THE FRONT MANUAL LOCKING HUBS FLUSH TO FACE OF ROTOR – will not properly mount
only get to the small rear set of nuts on front of hub

    Rears were fit ok/fine.

BEST RESOLUTION OR REMEDY FOR THIS ISSUE?

Wheel spacer grind center wheel and how deep a spacer 1/4" or 1/2"?
    anybody been there before?
is a 1" space enough to get over factory stud

    Thanks in advance

Have you checked to see if the wheel fits over the hub with the center cap removed?

If it still doesn't fit, your option would be to have the center bore machined out to 106.2mm (or 108.1mm if you want to install a push-thru center cap) so that the center bore clears your hub, or install a large enough wheel spacer to get the clearance. Since Toyota's have such short studs, I would recommend a 1" or 1.25" wheel adapter type of spacer that has studs pressed into the spacer. If you install a .25" or .50" spacer you're going to lose too much thread engagement on the studs, and it won't be safe to drive the truck with such little stud engagement.

Start by checking clearance without the cap first.

If the wheel does not fit then you’ve purchased an incorrect wheel it has the incorrect hub bore.

Probably made for Chevy or Ford which have smaller bores.

I measured the outside diameter of the manual hub flange, 105.3mm. You need to measure the bore of the wheels.

newwheelHUB CENTER BEVEL.jpg "Have you checked to see if the wheel fits over the hub with the center cap removed?"
Absolutely and would not mount flush due the the outer hub center contour for center cap mount, reference picture

MB Wheels came off a tacoma with auto locking hubs. There is a inside wheel center contour to allow the center cap to mount to wheel that hit the small inner nuts seen in the pictures behind the hub front area not allowing for it to mount fully.

Issues just on the front, rear no issues. Factory wheel light rub front full turn on steering wheel front of tire.
Moving from factory wheel 16x7 and 265 70 16 tires to new MB wheels 16x8.5 neg 3/8" BS with 265 75 16 tires

Now with 1 1/4" wheel spacers front and rear and MB wheels which are like 3/8" neg BS just an issue on front with steering full turn on the outside of the tire on the mud flaps front wheel well area near full rotation on steering wheel.
looking at shaving just a tad...
