I have an old square milk crate that works great for propane tanks.

Finally found time to finish the build video for my mount. I use two 5-pound tanks on the back of the camper. For the last three years of hard trails and a lot of highways across four states, I can say that it works great. Some people can say that it's easier to buy it from a reputable shop. But that's my way of doing things - DIY and upcycle if possible. For this one, I re-used some aluminum angles from previous projects and plates from some free stuff. The straps are made from washing machine drum.

It's crazy to me that 5lb cylinder costs the same as the 20lb cylinder...

5 lb tank on my custom bumper. I designed the bracket and had it cut out and bent by SendCutSend and then I welded up the corners. If anyone wants the DXF let me know. The strap and hardware is all from McMaster. Works great!
