Saw a week 48 build today for 2024's in a search, so that puts the MFG through all of November right now.

Thanks! Solar Octane’s kind of uncommon, at least that’s what they tell me. The first dealer I checked had a long bed, 4x4, TRD Sport in Solar Octane coming in, but it had already been spoken for. So, they can be had if you’re lucky.

My salesman told me they got seven requests from other dealers to trade allocations to get my truck. I just got extraordinarily lucky that they were receiving an allocation for exactly what I wanted the day I reached out to them so I could put down a deposit.

Go find a dealer that you get the best feel from. If they really want your business, they’ll find you the truck you want. Might take a while if you’re truly picky, but they’ll do it.

You can still do that, just not with Toyota.

What are you talking about? They have a shit ton of Tacomas and Tundras just sitting around with lot rot and dead batteries.

Some dealers around here have Tundras from two years ago, that dumb 1776 edition or whatever.

I think they originally were MSRP of $80,000 with 20K markup, I don’t know what they’re going for now.

Maybe in your area. Many Toyota dealers around me in the Northeast don't have much inventory truck wise compared to the big American 3.

Don't do it, fight the temptation. I was in getting my diffs and transfer case fluids changed, service writer asked me if I was getting a new one, I said not yet, on fence and he said good wasn't gonna say anything if you were but have had 4 already in for transmission replacements all with less than 9k miles.

So it's not a manufactured part issue, it's contamination during assembly issue, then.

Casting or machining debris from inadequate cleaning of parts as I’m to understand it. So not really contamination during assembly so much as sloppy prep on Aisin or a subcontractor’s part.

At the end of the day, they ended up with garbage that would clog up solenoids. I’m not sure the reasoning is more than splitting hairs at this point, but you know. If it’s a part Toyota uses, be it Aisin’s or a subcontractor’s fault, it’s effectively Toyota’s fault. I’m just glad they’ve got a process to fix it.

Yeah, that is what I had said in my original post as you are referencing a reply from the OP. It is a 2024 being built last week of November. So no 2025's in November that I have found.
