    No, it’s a cake walk
Edit: Can’t find instructions but you make sure the dampener is disconnected and gently squeeze the only two parts that are keeping the door in place. I’ll keep hunting for a video or write up from a wordsmith

So easy even a caveman can do it. Disconnect little dampening thing then squeeze the hinges inward. The manual should have it as its how you get to the cabin air filter to change it.

I agree. Don’t have to drop the door for filter access on 3rd gen though

It may be something the original owner wedged in there because it was squeaking or rattling.

Been there, done that on other vehicles.

Much better picture, now i can tell its the manuals in there!
Gen3 Tacoma does not have the box as part of the door. I found this video on removing the ECU which entails taking the whole glove box out. Knee airbag panel has to come out so disconnect battery if you have to resort to doing this. Many plastic pieces with tabs to break so I would try to get it out with a pick or something. The video does not show how you would safely separate the door from the box frame. Maybe the stuck thing would just be sitting under the floor of the box with it removed.

I was going to say that, but I bet, this item is likely a employee badge that got wedged in there, was 'lost', and was replaced by previous owner after he swore he left it in the truck but finally seceeded that he just frigging lost it.;)

    Looking forward to your extract.

To remove it, dental pick and thin taped standard screwdriver to carefully twist and pry the two pieces slightly apart while hooking the card with the dental pick.

Sorry, I meant in this thread. OP will create a new thread to ask about the tires.
