I'm picking up my new taco in a week or so and was wonder if anyone knows of a back rack for the 4 Gen? I need to carry long ladders and lumber on occasion but don't want a full set of racks. I've searched a little but can't find anything for the 24.

Would something like https://yakima.com/products/overhaul-hd-system work for you?

Thanks for the efforts but I'm not looking for a full set of bed racks. As for the diamondback unit, it can only be used with the diamondback hard cover. It doesn't attach to the bed rails.

I have been looking at Magnum. I believe more options are available than what's shown.

I also have an email into Backrack but it's been a couple weeks with no reponse so I am no longer considering them.

I was looking at Magnum and wondering if maybe they hadn't updated their web page, or had one in development. Please let us know if you get any additional info.
    Thanks

So according to Realtruck the Weatherguard racks fit the 24 Tacomas but their website doesn't list anything compatible with any year Tacoma so I don't know about them.

There's not a lot of information on the Magnum brand but this is the reply I got maybe a week ago:
I am calling later during the week to find out how they are mounted, if they are compatible with a crossover tool box, and of course to confirm fitment for the 4th gens.

If you're looking for a universal fit rack and are on a budget, discountramps.com has one or two you might be interested in.

I like the look of the magnum racks. Funny thing, I just figured out my vacation home is one town away from their headquarters in Waterville Maine. I might have to reach out to them and offer my truck (when it's delivered) for prototyping if needed.

So I think I'm going with a cap again but I was also looking at Spyder Industries. if anyone else is interested. They seem to have a lot of options for Tacomas, pricey though.
