I'm looking for lug nuts for my steel winters and another set for the OEM aluminum wheels. Are there nuts that use the same size socket for both nut sets?
My existing sets are deforming due to a chrome skin on them, perhaps some impact gun abuse.
I tried some McGard I think from Crappy, rated well but still having issues.
Are deeper nuts better as there is more contact area for the socket?
I don't want any spline or locking types.
Looking for recommendations on a quality set that is durable.

I have same year and model, and I also faced the same problem as you with original lug nuts. I replaced them years ago with lug nuts from a company called Driven Products.
Unfortunately, I do not recall the exact part number from Driven Products but I will leave a link to the ones am 99% sure I bought.
They have been on my truck for about 6 -7 years and I have zero complaints.

Also, if I recall I do not think the lug wrench that came with our truck is the correct size, I recommend getting the proper size lug wrench before you even put them on your truck (I think it's 13/16 - I am not near my truck right now to check)

The website is very straight forward but there are definitely different lugs for steel and aluminum wheels so double check before buying or just call the company and ask.
Like I mentioned, I am satisfied with my purchase and the company is legit.

    Good luck

4-way lug wrench would solve the issue...

Crappy tire lugs i keep as spare and i hardly trust them. usually need to torque them at least 4-5 times before they hold over the course of a week of driving.
I dont think you'll find quality anymore, and if its for a set of steelies for winter driver, save yourself a few bucks and get whatever fits, as long as the lug chamfer fits with the rims.

personally i just Procomp splines drives for almost 6 years now without issues.

Turns out my winter 19mm lugs are great shape, but I bought 4 spares from CT by McGard made in US. The McNight product is Asian.
I found some Dorman brand shank lugs at Bumper to Bumper here in North Bay. Buddy said they don't peel. I measured the size with a caliper and discovered very little taper on the Dormans compared to my old ones. That would explain why the sockets jamb on the darned things.
Got a proper size socket set to carry with as 3/4 and 13/16 are slightly different sizing than metric but often interchanged.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
I got these for my winter steelies so they'd match the stock lug wrench. Been on for two NY winters now no issues.

As a tech you need acorn style wheel nuts for steel wheels. The shank/tuner/conical 60 degree wheel nuts will cut into steel wheel and cut up the wheel nut . When removed the mounting surface and nut will be sharp. Over time with on/off will enlarge the hole. I have seen happen. I see people with shank/ tuner style on style wheels and nothing happens.
This is what happens to a tuner style on steel wheel after one use. You can use them in a pinch to get you home. Pick your poison.
