Might be going to the Main Line Overland open house/expo tomorrow.

 

I decided to take off work today to take care of some things around the house in case I can make it to the open house tomorrow.

We had our garage fixed over the week. Someone came in and fixed all the drywall, replaced failing drywall tape, primed and painted. Including the ceiling. The tape up there was starting to fall and leaving plaster and stuff on our cars. It looks great in there…

Now, I have to get all the crap back in there and figure a good way to keep it organized. We have way too much stuff that staying in there but I’ll have to figure something out. This has to be done before I can work on my truck again.

Biggest things are the spare wheels/tires and the extension ladder. Thinking about attaching the ladder to the side/under the deck and keeping it outside. It’s aluminum.

Anyone here from Dave @$500TRD lately, feels like he’s not posted in a while.

 

Also, saw on a FB page about camping and trail riding in WV, which prompted my post above.

MD OFF Road,

Come join us the weekend of Nov 22nd-24th for a camp and trail ride event on the Canaan Loop in West Virginia. We will be camping Friday and Saturday night at Revelles campground. We will take on the Canaan Loop trail Saturday starting at 10am. It takes about 3hrs-4hrs to complete the trail as a convoy.

The Canaan Loop is an easy trail with a few obstacles and a creek crossing. The trail ends at the Blackwater falls trading post where members can hike down to the waterfalls, as well as, visit the trading post store. There is also the town of Davis and Thomas that have some good eating and stores to check out. Lindy point along the trail is a good place to stop and check out the mountain view’s. Also we will stop halfway or so for lunch on the trail so make sure you bring some stuff for the ride.

We will look to do a raffle saturday evening after the trail ride to raffle off some items. Everyone who joins us gets a free ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased for chances to win some good gear.

In order to camp it’s best that you call Catherine (owner) at Revelles campground and mention our MORE group (number below) We have blocked off sites along the creek. She does have some cabins if you don’t want to camp out on a site. Just ask her.

If you have any questions, please let us know. This has been a good trip for us in the past! While we often like to disperse camp in the forrest, Catherine does a great job as a camp host for this trip. The campground has a store and fire wood on site which makes it easy. Each site also has electric and water should you need it.

Both that and the other event sound awesome, sadly I’m unavailable for all of November because of a bunch of work and family stuff .

 

I have not… was thinking about this the other day. If I remember right, he had a bunch of stuff to tend to at the cabin. Plus, he’d just gotten the lights and tags done on the SXS as well as the new Yak… so probably just enjoying life on the hill. Hopefully all is good with him and his wife!

Sorry to say I’m not going to make it to the MLO open house/expo today.

Nope, not yet maybe next week if I get the garage organized. I want too lol. That, tire rotations and the fluid changes too. Should have done the things I could before we got the puppy. Since I’m the one that wanted her, she’s mainly my responsibility, which is the way it should be. My wife’s a cat person and my kid is 12, so he helps since he wanted a dog but… you know a 12 year old can only put so much effort into anything
