265/70/17 ko3s on a 2014? I'm lost, sorry!

Hello all... so I'm pretty new to trucks in general, miatas were my thing prior to this but after having my 4th one totaled earlier this year, I picked up a 2014 tacoma crew cab, long bed with 89k on it for $15k in really good shape -- screaming deal, just couldn't pass it up as similar trucks are priced at double that in the pnw.

That said, my truck came with some knobby 265/70/17 cooper something or others on it and they're just terrible. They're incredibly loud at highway speeds, don't give much confidence when braking and they're wearing weird, sometimes imparting shaking in the steering wheel like I've got a warped rotor, but only *sometimes.* It's slowly driving me insane. Rotors and whatnot are next after tires if that doesn't fix the issue.

I've done a bit of research and I'm kinda looking at the ko3s in the same size but my problem is I don't know what's been done to the truck suspension wise (if anything) and I don't even know where to begin looking to find out. I'm under the impression they might not fit but, not being a tire pro, I'm not understanding why I would have issues if I've already got 265/70/17s on it currently.

It's looking like I'm going to have to hit some of the mountain passes around thanksgiving time this year so I'd like to get this handled now before I'm forced to take these sketchy tires through the snow in a few weeks.

Any thoughts, suggestion, input, etc? Does anyone run these currently? Did you need to do anything to make sure they didn't rub?

    I'd greatly appreciate the help!

You might want to put up a few pics of the front suspension to see what you're working with. If you've already got that size installed then I'm not sure why you couldn't go with again. Get an alignment afterwards just to help them wear nice and even. Btw, lots of people here run that size including myself.
