He’s just using a time out instead of waiting for the two minute warning. That or it’s a preemptive for Sunday when at 2am nobody knows what time it is.

 

Finally finished it last night.

What a horrible ending.

I doubt anyone is going to watch it but I'll spoiler it anyway.

The daughter gets her clothes ripped off of her buy a group of boys, unknown if they raped her or not.
The father is so upset by this that he just stays in bed.
The mother has a priest over to talk to the dad. While he's there, he ends up performing his last rights.
The group of boys steal Balthazar from the mom, along with some of her possessions, including all of her money.
Someone off camera shoots at the boys so they run off. Balthazar ends up getting shot in the front leg.
He hobbles along and finds a group of sheep being herded and ends up in the middle of all of them.
I start thinking "the shepherd will get him fixed up".
Nope. Leaves him there.
Fade to black.
Fin.

My uncle said the same thing. He was dead 2 years into his retirement.

Enjoy life, and save for the potential, but don't hinge all plans on being around past 60 years old!

I learned that the ordinary COLA for retirement monthly paycheck of goberment can not keep up with inflation; prepared well as your strategy is a great plan.
I can see to restrain many personal temptation is also a must if I don’t have a main source of income.

 

I’ve been giving a great deal of thought to this lately. Fortunately, if I were to retire, my wife is a few years younger than me and will continue to carry our healthcare through the school district that she works for.

my parents had a friend who was a highly skilled German Cabinet maker. He retired at age 67, collected one Social Security check, and then unfortunately passed away from a brain aneurysm.
Work hard, but play hard too!

. I know a mechanic, after get out of military service, he worked hard his entire life until he decided to retire, he passed two weeks after he had the retirement farewell party.

 

I've got to work until at least 62 for Medicare to kick in. Barring someone handing me a winning lottery ticket for no good reason....

 

Some call panic, I call extraordinaries

 

Given the people climate, I think regardless of who wins, there will be riots, I just want to be able to be locked up at home and avoid it all!

I did better with the car trailer.

 

Took the kid out for a road trip in the Escape. Did 28MPG doing 75 on the interstate. I didn't think that was too bad.

 

Our healthcare system is built on nothing more than propaganda. You have to wait months to get to see a specialist, just for a consultation, then months, if not years for the actual healthcare. Our government's newest angle is offering assisted suicide instead of treatment.

I'd gladly take the tax money I've paid and not used and put it toward insurance where I could get care when I needed it.

This style was commonplace years ago - sadly replaced by the cheap & bland modern stuff.

 

Wait times in my Province were once the worst in Canada but the trick was work smarter with less bureaucracy. Seems to be turning around albeit pretty slow. Glad to see a million folks getting dental now that never had it before. I’m pretty fortunate to have full pharmacare. Good to see more Meds being covered too. Just doing the Math even roughly I know I’ve come out ahead.
