While in the desert last weekend, my right bumper end cap jumped off the truck.
    IMG_8504.jpg

I had to replace the plastic end-cap, parking radar sensor, and the Rigid light. The cost of doing business.

Funny how our truck parts assume self-destructive behavior patterns without us doing anything. :notsure:

Just some off of Amazon, the inserts are metal and fade pretty bad, not sure I like them. But for the price of admission, I don't mind potentially replacing them every year or so compared to purchasing the OEM ones.

The emblems - Black out emblems
    Tailgate - Black inserts

There are many sources of tailgate inserts. I went with ones from Tufskinz as they make some really nice stuff that is supposed to last "the life of the vehicle". They do cost more yet mine look really nice (I got the black/silver US flag letters) and are super easy to install.

Where did you get the dual switch plate for the overhead console? I want to put my front locker button up there with the OEM rear locker button and traction control is already up there because I have a 2019 without the SOS button.

@MESO has been sold out of the two button one and the four button with sunroof for ever!

I wish @MESO still made this switch panel:

I have an absurd amount of parts that I’ve been sitting on and I’m just now getting around to installing. The switch panel is from MESO, and I also bought another one with 3 spots in case I add a front locker.

The harness was from these guys: https://accessorides.com/products/t...HB0kVUoPHkIDarQrIyIjYayPiE1x72PdacORWd0eI1oHK

I’ve never seen that switch panel with all of the buttons around the MTS/Control buttons.

Funny how that works. This is the third time I've been down this replacement road -- may be time to consider something made of steel.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
I did my 55k oil change and filter this afternoon. Had to borrow a neighbors car to go get an AutoZone filter wrench. None of my strap wrenches or filter wrenches would touch it. Dealership did the 50k service - I think I shall make it quite clear that a torque wrench is to be used when I get the 60k one done.

Can anyone tell me for SURE that the Toyota Oil Filter Cap - 15620-31060 is compatible with my 2022? I think I have seen some statements that for some reason the 2022 is different from other 3rd gens. There was a small difference in height when I compared them, so I put the original plastic one back on.

Just ordered the tailgate inserts and the SR5 6 piece version (comes w/4x4 emblem) of the black out emblems...
    Thanks for the link...

BTW, I finally installed the LED back-up lights, definitely a big difference...
Now, got me thinking about those VTAILs... Who needs to eat anyway?

Not today but yesterday I finally changed the front brakes on my 2016 TRD OR.
After about 55k miles (8years) it was finally time.
I went with the Powerstop Z17 kit CRK137 from Amazon. Similar to OE parts.
    So far, I 'm happy with them.:D

55-60k seems to be the average lifespan for oem pads. I don't regret going with oem (installed last week), but I would like a little more bite. The oem pads get a little "greasy" in hot weather/heavy breaking.

Maybe I'll try these truck performance pads and slotted rotors next time. :notsure:

Well…I did a couple things! Rolled 300k while completing some farm projects. Replaced a CV shaft w a torn axle boot, replaced the inner axle seal and resolved my front differential leak. In the coming days after that, the truck developed a ferocious vibration while on the gas, crawled back underneath and the front u joint was shelled. 300k on this rig, I got my money’s worth. Not sure Toyota calls it a spider kit, and not sure there is no listing for a front u joint at the transmission in any parts store…but I really do like using OEM if I can. Needle bearing definitely left the chat, it was really easy to replace and the truck runs like new!

. Boy do I agree with you on this!!!!. They somehow think we are the ones merging‍♂️. We travel a fair amount in a small motorhome and it baffles us how some slug that doesn’t want to use their gas pedal to successfully merge onto the freeway, often times forcing us to brake, or us “try” to move to the fast lane, then trying to get back over to the slow lane. We aren’t merging, they are‍♂️

ahhh, that felt good - have a great day
