Despite what the goobertubers say, Tacoma sales are now steady. This month's sales slightly above average of previous seven years:

Goobertubers have access to analytics. When they see other goober's topics that get eyeballs, they will copy cat. Viewers think this is reality and seek similar goobers to validate. Circle jerk.

An adjunct to this rant is what percentage of the workforce has now become streamers? There are now streamers that live solely off lambasting other goobers. So they create drama to get others to lolcow them in a never ending circle jerk. Granted, these people were never going to be really productive in the workplace anyway. Just my rant. Feel so much better now. Carry on.

Agree with OP. Toyota's 4G Tacoma sales have been really good, and owner reviews have been great, despite all the teeth gnashing of the click baiting DoomTubers.

Also something that is seldom mentioned here: the obvious Bot accounts that come on every 4G forum, proclaim in a new thread something along the lines of "My new 2024 Tacoma has _X__Y__Z__ problem thus it is complete shit!", and then promptly disappear, never responding to follow-up comments or heard from again.

These posts must be from either straight-up trolls, or the reps of Toyota's competitors, that are trying desperately to sway public opinion away from this excellent 4G truck launch by Toyota.

Kind of. Underground OR for a black but it’s the one I originally wanted but couldn’t find. Dealer was offering $4k off in stock tacomas so I checked their website and they actually had one.

The poorer the sales numbers, the lower the prices, so lets hope sales stay flat. All the Tacomas around me are starting with ~$3500 online discount and I would expect to get ~5K off a loaded off-road. Maybe better. As for the YouTubers, I'm all for it. Kinda fun to watch.

 

I'm wondering if pricing across the board will go up or stay the same by the end of the week. I'm guessing no change either way, but consumer confidence could see a huge jump midweek will sales reflect that? Is today newyears eve?

YouTube creators shamelessly chase clicks with negative Toyota content w/o objectivity. Nothing new about that.

However, Tacoma sales only hold steady with massive dealer inventories and propped up with cash on the hoods, despite being all-new and noticeably improved. Definitely not an unqualified success by anyone’s definition.

So, as always, the “truth” lies somewhere in between.
