How do you tell if used leaf springs are good?

I bought some used U402 stage 1 springs and hammer hangers about a year ago and finally am getting them installed along with new shocks.

They have 6.6 inch free arch height. Visually, they are good without cracks or corrosion.

    I’d appreciate any advice!

Pretty much the only things to look for are cracks, excessive corrosion, and worn/aged bushings. Contrary to urban legend, springs are not a wear item, albeit nothing lasts forever.

I knew that was the case for coil springs but did not for leaf springs. Thank you!

The springs can creep/set, is that why people re-arch?
