Colorado Fall colors.

One of my favorite places and times to camp and take pix.
Thought I would post a few to inspire others.

Time to visit is the last week in September through the first week in October, but can change depending on conditions. 2023 was late and smoky. Smoke seems to be more of a factor the past few years.

In general, colors start on the northern part of the state, September, and later in the South areas, October.

Lots of easy dirt roads, most all can be done in 2WD.

Lucky enough to have family near Telluride and went to Western State in Gunnison for two years. Absolutely love that time of year, such a beautiful part of the country. Been down those roads quite a few times, great pics thanks for sharing.

Some who have never experienced it think the colors in the photos are fake. My pix don’t even do it justice.

Holy smokes. BEAUTIFUL!!! Man i have to take a trip up there. Looking to take a road trip next month as I usually do for my bday. May plan a trip up there maybe mid to late september. Thank you for sharing
