    Considering that this is a one off build for SEMA coming out of Toyota's marketing budget I am sure the cost is insane.
    I do think it is cool that they are making the top detachable vs just cutting it off and making it a dedicated open top concept.

    Right, fully understand the SEMA stuff is all one off. I just think it's kind of dumb because it's a bunch of "what if" that will never happen.

    If Toyota wants to print money they will bring back the 5.7 and hook it up with the 10-speed transmission. Have it be the base engine and have the twin turbo V6 as the more expensive option and offer the hybrid V6 as the top of the line option.

    I agree. Trouble is, they'd outsell the 6ers and that would tank the fleet emissions and then the guberment morons would fine them.

    I wouldnt be surprised if that put up better fuel economy than the new power train. The 5.7 does pretty good if it’s not screaming in the RPMs.

    I think towing mpg would be better. The ttv6 gets nearly identical fuel economy to what i get.

    Honestly, I should just go to the Toyota dealership today and test drive the new Tacoma, just to get it out of the way. Then I'll know that it's totally inferior and that I definitely don't want it. Yeah I should probably hurry and just go drive one right now. Also, new poll.
