New here, enjoying my journey into the taco domain. Its the first I have owned. I would like to use it as a daily driver, short 4x4 trips with the kids on the power lines, and maybe hand it over to my best friends son in about 5 years or so.

I bought a year ago from a used lot. $12k for a 2011 Tacoma TRD 4x4 with a 5 speed manual. Naturally, I decided to name the truck, Taco Manuel. It had about 195k mi with a brand new frame. I jumped on it.

There were a few things that needed immediate attention having spent most of its life in ME. Hard lines on power steering, front struts, slave cylinder on clutch.... But I expected some of that.

I'm most interested now in optimizing for the occasional off road adventure. I live in central MA so we have no shortage of steep rock trails. Recently I suffered a stab wound in the boot on my CV by a small spear shaped pine tree... work in progress.

Welcome :hattip:beautiful dogs  my dad trained K9s at Cherry Point and we've always had AKC registered, pedigree shepherds as family pets. We had a black and tan shepherd named Major and a jet black shepherd with green eyes and a purple tongue whose Japanese name was (U-Geena-Zacuda) - Unjun (Un-gin) for short.
