    Toyota dealer says my Tacoma is leaking oil and needs Timing Cover kit, rear main seal and engine bypass coolant hoses rear intake manifold gasket….quoted me 6224.68+ tax. I got 133,333 miles on it….. any suggestions? Where to go get this done? Or should I go with the dealer? Almost wanted to go trade it inn!!! I paid new with lifts And tires Rims sides steps from dealer for the truck 40k

    Can you do any of it yourself? Rear main seal is a pain the the ass though. You have to remove the transmission, clutch, and flywheel. Would not recommend unless you are mechanically inclined.

    I would take it to an indy shop and see what they say

    No I’m not a mechanic! Only know how to change oil! Haha Indy shop what kind of shop is that?

    And independent shop (i.e. not a dealership), ideally one that specializes in Toyotas
