This was going to be my "forever" truck, but we've outgrown it. No vehicle has ever been harder to decide to part with.

My approach with this build was to make an ultra-simple, absolutely 100% reliable rig to daily drive to work and putt around old mining roads during the summer in CO. It's a nod to the no-frills Toyotas of the 80s and 90s.

I personally completed a manual swap using a 3rd gen RC62F (much better ratios than the 2nd gen RA60F). All factory or OEM parts used. It is as close to a factory conversion as I think you can get. I went to great lengths to make sure the ABS and cruise systems work perfectly and there are zero codes or CELs. You'd really never know that it didn't come from Toyota like this. Toyota never offered the 6MT with this cab and bed combination.

    Other highlights:
    - ALL maintenance done, everything ever done to the truck is in a spreadsheet
    - Totally rust free (2nd owner, first in AZ)
    - ARB bumper (pre-facelift version that doesn't stick out as far)
    - Earlier tail light conversion with LED bulbs
    - ECGS front diff bushing
    - 18-20 MPG, tracked on every fill-up
    - Bilstein 5100 front, AAL with overload in the back
    - 2WD low-range mod
    - Redarc brake controller
    - New Gates main belt
    - Custom engine tune (less aggressive rev-hang and tuning to optimize VE)
    - New OEM Toyota lower control arms/ball joints, welded cam tabs
    - If there's a fluid on board, it has been flushed or replaced according to proper intervals
    - Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro round amber fogs
    - <10k miles on Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S 265/75/R16 + matching spare rotated regularly
    - Rear view mirror relocation bracket

    - Problems:
040 Super White paint woes - only really an issue around the window front window frames - see photos. It is present in the engine bay and a bit between the bed and cab but you don't really notice it in those spots. TPMS system is currently disabled but can be wired back to stock if you wish. The radio screen backlight sometimes inverts colors when it's cold, but it hasn't done that for a while.

$25k - located in Fort Collins, CO
