I would second the rear seat delete! I took my entire back seat out within 24 hours. I just built and carpeted my own platform.

While tempting, my wife and kids would not appreciate me removing the the backs seats. :)

that’s fair! Haha. I’ve taken to deleting back seats or the 60% side out of most of my trucks lately. Only wife and dog/s here. The dogs appreciate the delete lol

For those with the trailhunter and wanting to keep the ARB sports rack. I recommend getting the pelican BX135 with their tacoma cross bed mounts (XBEDMT-002-BLK). Fits perfectly in the bed, you do have to remove half of the Sports Bar to slide the mounting bolts on but didn’t take too long. Bins fit and opens perfectly. Bin can be easily removed if I need the bed as well with two pins. Very glad I went with this route.

Added this OEM swing out box. It has a top box lock and a locking mechanism so if the top is uncovered no one can pop it off and run with it.

Nice set up, did you have to drill anything to mount it? Thinking bout adding one in the future

Oh yeah. It’s easy drilling through the bed. The locking mechanism was kind of a pain bc you had to attach locking washers and nuts on the back side of the bed but it was well worth an hour of my time.

Love the V2 Decked Drawer System installed in my new Trailhunter, but didn't love their seemingly over-engineered and somewhat permanent mods to my truck to make the compressor gauge/chuck door accessible. Came up with a less invasive and simpler (for me) method. I did like their idea of using magnets, some of the little neodymium magnets are really very strong, and I only accidentally glued one to my finger! This certainly isn't the only solution, perhaps someone out there will come up with an even simpler solution. I think I'll have to add a drop of silicone adhesive to each hinge to keep them stationary and possibly add a handle to the top, like a drawer pull or footmans loop just for easier access without having to pop out the stash bin.

RichP64, great pictures... Are you still able to plug in and use the air compressor hose without the Decked Drawer System blocking your ability to plug in the air compressor hose?

Trailhunter Mark; glad you asked, don't know why it didn't occur to me to check that! Short answer so far is no, see pics below. Tried the OEM provided hose and the Flexzilla connector (working on a 4 line inflate setup), both can't quite make the angle even when applying a bit of force. They might snap in place if i pushed harder while bending in the edge of the Decked stash bin support area, didn't seem worth getting the connector stuck on there and have to start taking apart the decked panel to get it off. Guess I'm now on the hunt for a 45 or 90 degree short connector, or resort to trimming out part of the Decked stash bin support area. Any suggestions would be most welcome. In any case, the Decked instructions for flipping the door would result in the exact same predicament.

How easy is it to remove the box if you need to use more space in the bed?

it takes seconds to pop it off. Super easy

Wish I'd seen that before going down the rabbit hole for the last two days. First, Decked's instructions for the YT9/YT10 aren't going to work if you have a compressor (Trailhunter), when removed the box is far more complex than what is in their instructions (see photos below), I can only assume they tested on a trim that had the power outlets but not the compressor. After much tinkering and worrying I was going to break something I did manage to replace the male quick coupler with a swivel male quick coupler. Given what a pain it was I wouldn't do it again, but I was knee deep into the disassembly when it became obvious it would have been much simpler trim the Decked area that supports the stash bins. System is now tested and I'm happy with it, but I think the hose you found is a much more straightforward solution.

Where did you get this? I don't see it on the Toyota site.
    Thanks

RichP64, thanks for the photos... How difficult and how long did it take you to switch out that swivel male quick coupler? I was actually considering the same plan of action except with the swivel male quick coupler on the inside and the swivel coupler hose on the outside? Your right though, those inside parts look nothing like the diagrams in the Decked instructions. It looks really difficult and way more complicated than I'm willing to do. Does the air hose finally connect and work properly?

Trailhunter Mark, it took me several hours to remove and partially disassemble the whole module, would probably go a little quicker if I had to do it again and wasn't figuring it out as I go. In addition to the two electrical connectors there's a quick connect for the air from the compressor and a push in connection for the blue hose. When disassembling I had to remove 5 of the 3mm allen screws, 4 phillips securing a connector, and push in the rubber gasket surrounding the 4 larger wires. Also had to increase the hole size for the swivel male quick connect. Here's a pic of the back cover pulled out and a look at the manifold with the OEM quick connect removed.
    14.jpg

Overall I really like the Decked system, but I am a bit disappointed they didn't confirm the Trailhunter fitment, especially since I spoke with them before ordering and asked very specific questions about fitment, including the power accessory AND compressor access.

Side note; there's also a small air filter back there, don't think I would have ever realized that if I hadn't taken this all apart.

    2.jpg 3.jpg

I suppose this has gotten way off topic for this thread, but wanted to keep the continuity going.

And yes, everything connects easily and works great.
