Hey guys and gals i just recently had Nokian nATs installed and noticed a strange line on exterior tread blocks at edges of my rear tires. It appears the outside edge of the shoulder blocks are not contacting the pavement. I had 33psi in and lowered to 31 but no difference. Will my tires not wear evenly with this condition? What can i do to eliminate this issue? Has anyone else had or seen this type of condition?

Lower your pressure until you get a full contact patch and report back with your findings. There will reach a point where it might be a sign of some issue. Same on all tires? LT or P-metric tires? Do you have a pressure gauge to verify your readings? I am assuming you're going off on board readings.

I use a separate pressure gauge to check pressure. My tires are SL rated and this issue is only on rear tires. The fronts look good and do not have the line.

Google the “chalk test” adjust your pressure accordingly

Lower the psi some. The rear end is light compared to what's riding over the front end. Hence why the front tires don't show the issue.
