I actually didn't mind it and the rear bumper prep went far more smoothly than I expected. Having it professionally sand blasted was great (but a bit expensive) and then I did a lot of prep cleaning with acetone and hanging them in my garage for spraying. Some of you have seen the great finish that I got from the Steel-It. Easy to apply in my makeshift paint booth. Fumes were very strong, proper face mask required. Happy to share more of my prep and paint experience with anyone interested.

I did that for a few or several years with a 1/2" to 1/4" adapter....
Had me thinking maybe I never had one to begin with? o_O

    I'll never know.

I was taking mental notes during your process...

I swiped a piece of sandpaper across the shackle flip and was able to get through the heat stains, so I'm going to clean them up better.

So hear me out, doing cardio is all about keeping your heart rate up right? So if I drive crazy enough that my heart rate is raised, is that kind of like cardio?

Nobody will see these parts. So, I'm not as concerned about how they're going to look, as I am getting this first paint job to stick.

Exactly. Look at formula 1 drivers, they are in quite good shape.

I thought about that. I figured he would Google it.

Yes, this is a truck related topic. Fred was early pioneer of rock crawling. Barney Rubble was the first person to use the words,, bump it,,,bump it harder,,send it.
