    Hey guys,

Is there a setting that turns safety sense off while in 4WD?

Without having to go in the settings and up/down clicking things off?

While out on my property, I’m having to trample over small trees and brush right now, and it’s absolutely annoying to hear it and fight it every second. Especially in reverse, when it sees a pine tree I’m gonna push over and it slams on the brakes for me haha.

    Thanks in advance y’all!

They auto brake in reverse now?

What happens if you turn this button off?

4th gen doesn’t have a button like that. But the steering wheel controls can be used to turn it off.

See the Quick Reference or Owners Manual.

Yeah im tracking I can turn them off. But I was hoping someone knew of a simple "all off / off road" option.

I wish they turned off when we went into 4HI or maybe into a 4wd specific mode like dirt.

The 4th gen doesn’t do simple, unfortunately.

I'd drive in 4hi all the time if that was the case. That's why Toyota does not make it possible.

Try stopping and holding down the traction control button until is says everything disabled. Thats how my last 2 Toyotas worked. I have not tried it on mine yet but i will need to when it snows whiteout and I’m driving on ice roads . It already gave me a black eye when i was moving it in my garage with the door open to make sure it didnt hit anything and it slammed on the emergency brake.

It would be great if a single fuse controlled the parking sensors, could just add a switch to turn them off.

Does tow mode switch them off?

    Edit:

Looks like the Parking Support Brake (PKSB) turns off in 4lo. Also automatically turns off during some towing conditions. I think that's the system that will apply brakes or cut engine power.

Intuitive parking assist is the noise based system, I don't think that one applies any automatic braking.

Yeah 4Lo and towing cuts off some of it.

I’ve towed my Ranger 1K and it was very intuitive and did it without a problem.

4Hi keeps parking sensors and brake slammer on, maybe I just kick in Lo for the thick brush…. Easy enough I guess

On a 3rd Gen, once in 4HI, the radar system(camera) will detect obstacles and will turn off automatically. Perhaps a dealer can check to see if that option is turned off with techstream??
