I have a 2011 2wd TRD Sport and im looking at replacing the standard limited slip diff and I'm thinking of going with an e locker to save on money compare to an air locker, plus I was told e lockers are more reliable. What are some e locker recommendations or something I can simply swap the rear axle with. If you need more specifics, fill free to ask. Appriciate it.

You can put any axle in, but you will need to do wiring into the cab for an elocker. Its possible, just depends on your level of skill

I grabbed a whole TRD rear end from my local wrecking yard. Cheap.
Everything from the yoke all the way out to the drum brakes.

Then had my local 4 wheel drive shop do the install and wiring.

Best mod I did on the 97 Taco.

Is there a wiring schematic or diagram showing all the components needed to swap in a factory TRD axle on a 2.5 Gen?

Not sure if this helps, but my local 4 wheel drive shop installed a custom wiring kit. Don’t remember the manufacturer of the kit.
Nothing stock about the wiring and switch.

Install shop was The Toy connection in Santa Clara.

A few months ago I jumped in on a group buy here on Tacoma World for a Sibi Built 'Re-Gear' special. I dropped my truck off for 2-days for them to install .456 gears (Revolution) and an Eaton E-Locker on my 2015 2WD TRD Sport
