I cant remember what mine is :anonymous:
But I always wear a light jacket over it (even when its hot) because I dont carry a pack of any sort and I and need the pockets to cram all my shit in. Possibly try to find the lightest jacket you can? I know it sucks to wear a jacket but my early season jacket is super thin and not much different than wearing a long sleeve tshirt.

    I also have a question...
I love the strap I use that goes around the tree (its not the strap that came with my harness), but my strap is like 30 years old and I'm trying to find something to attach to the tree thats stupid easy. My current strap had a metal hook that attaches to a 'd' ring, pull the strap and its done.

Summit pro when I used a full body but pretty much always use a saddle now, just a lot more versatility for me even with a stand. I'm sure it isn't as safe as a full body for a fall but hopefully I'll live.

Tether I always just use the rope ones that have a loop you feed the rope back through and a carabiner is adjustable for height with a prusik.

I saddle hunt as well, but anytime I'm in a climber or ladder stand, I use a Hunter Safety System harness. From one saddle hunter to another, I hope you'll consider using a harness over your saddle when not saddle hunting. Saddles aren't rated for falls and aren't designed with slack in mind. That being said, if you're attached with anything at all from the time you're at the bottom to the top of the tree, you're still doing better than most, so can't critique you too much  I considered ditching the harness last year and just using saddle, but always hear that little voice in the back of my head saying "your wife will nag you for an eternity in heaven when she gets there too if you die falling out of a tree, when you told her you'd always wear your harness."

Folks that don’t harness up in a tree blow my mind

I’m shitting my pants 100% of the time I’m in a tree cause I’m a large dude and extremely clumsy.

Years ago with the first climbers that came out, the bottom half dropped to the ground and I had to shimmy down the tree a few times. :anonymous:

We used stands like this but without the climbing aid, just hug the tree and go.

I lost the strap that came with my hunters safety system harness somehow....

I purchased this and it's super easy and much quieter than original.

Gas company owns the actual pumps so I doubt they want this ol redneck fiddling with them

they’ve done some work on them in recent years but natural gas prices are low and these wells are older than I am so I’m sure they aren’t keen on wasting too much money on getting them restarted
