I got the nissan frontier and drove it home last night. seems very good.

i felt under a lot of pressure over whether or not to get the full warranty, but i did so. it is $40 a month, which i feel is reasonable. covers major issues. i could easily spend more than $480 in a given year (or at least i did with the tacoma!). but i was not expecting to have to decide that right there at the signing. i also felt financial pressure, as the acquisition of a newer vehcile raised my insurance bill by $70 a month. that, together with warranty, brought my monthly payment(s) to a total of nearly $300 and i felt a dread of not being able to cover this. old age has crept in at 82, but this will require me working somehow. but at least i seem to now have a very good truck!

thanks to all you guys for your help!

any suggestions for selling my old, 96, frame-rusted-out tacoma? it has a good engine, stick trans, nice cap, good tires and was a solid good-running truck before the frame armageddon.

Someone will buy it for parts at least, so much running gear in that era was lost

hey i want to thank all the tacoma folks for the unselfish help you all gave me in my search for a good, affordable truck, especially when i started looking at a nissan. thanks to you, things are looking real good for me. i am happy with the nissan i got and i just sold the old 1996 tacoma with the bad frame for $800 on facebook marketplace. (by the way, things move fast there, while i could not attract anyone on ebay.)
