Hi Mike. Poor doggie in jail :(. Is that rack specific for that vehicle? or is it generic? If so, where'd you get it? Please and thank you.

Yea , I’m far from those NY counties. I’m right on the borders of Massachusetts and Connecticut. They do get some monsters in Western NY . We need statewide antler restrictions

Went well brotha, I don’t get how plumbers are depicted as fat asses tho. I feel like I did 1000 crunches and it’s cramped as fuk under the sink….

Oh well, it’s done. hopefully I get another 15 years before I have to do it again.
At least home dump is having 50% off everything I needed.

Have a great day brother Jeff :fistbump::fistbump:

Our deer season is in a rest period, no deer hunting for a week in between archery and gun hunting. Then the knucklehead news reports come trickling in. :annoyed:Good time to take your brother in law hunting :Do_O

Good morning, raining today started just as we were finishing shooting our last round of skeet yesterday :rain: So didn't get any projects done that had planned to outside and today isn't looking so good either. But we really need the rain so no complaints here. And it isn't snow. Yet.

They love their crate in the truck and buggy! In the house not so much, they feel they have outgrown them in the house LOL. But in the vehicles I don't even have to tell them to load up, I open the crate door and they jump right in and lay down all excited for the next adventure.

That is an attic rack made specifically for the GX in Poland. Because the GX is a Prado Land Cruiser 150 in the rest of the world a lot of the things crossover to the GX. It also has a swing down dog barrier but the dogs like their crates so don't use the barrier. And if birds are sitting in the back and they are just riding around they will start to clean the birds for me

Best mod ever IMO I use the heck out of it and doesn't interfere with vision out the back at all. If you can find a vehicle specific one highly recommend it. Just did a search for attic rack and Subaru and most of what shows up is a cargo rack instead. A lot of those out there but they block vision and take up space in the wrong directions IMO.

Too low IMO although I am building a shelf for the GX that sits ~10" above the floor mainly for groceries and shooting gear. And organization.

On my Xterra years ago I made an attic rack with closetmaid garage shelving. We called them LOBO shelves after Sheriff LOBO that came up with the idea. There is an old thread on the newX about them that might give you some ideas if you have to make your own. But hopefully you can find one that someone else has already created with a custom fit out of the box. Once you have one you will wonder how you ever did without it. Good luck and hope that helps!

Dr. Gary Alt started the antler restrictions in Pa. And got fired for it eventually :( Didn't go over well with the if it is brown it is down crowd. But it works! After Dr. Alt got fired the Whitetail Bluff Association which is deer hunters and landowners on the corner of Mn. Wi. and Iowa hired him as a consultant. And because of him SE Mn. now has antler restrictions  Brown is down crowd isn't happy about it here either but it is working. A lot of the bucks at Pope and Young came out of here to begin with so the gene pool is prime.

Used to wear out the Wenzel brothers VHS tapes on bowhunting deer and it wasn't until I moved here that I really understood what they meant by River Bottom bucks. It is the floodplains of the Mississippi River and bluffs. Rough hunting and the drag? Well one reason I don't hunt them anymore LOL. Some real pigs around here and now that there is antler restrictions in place even more so. Be nice to see NYSDEC implement antler restrictions as well but I'm afraid that will be a tough nut to crack.

    Good luck!

    Good Morning TWFAM

Be interesting to see what you find for an attic rack. Has me wondering if Kristi would like something similar in her Highlander. What a great idea and use of space. Wouldn't be the first time Chief Mike has turned me onto a great piece of gear.

Reminds me of the circus that the caribou hunt off the Steese Highway can be. I've been in the area of incoming rounds twice on active duty. But I've never been as scared of actually getting shot as I was the last time we hunted up there. Idiots that don't have a clue about safe hunting practices.

    :hattip: Chief Mike :fistbump:
I'm surprised antler restrictions aren't a norm everywhere.
Thoughts and prayers are with as you await results. I know the wait is the hardest part. Glad to read you are up and about doing the stuff you love.

Attic rack - sounds like a good idea. Would love one for road trips to store light stuff. Might just have to see if i can come up with something. Thanks.

Brother Rob  I think it is a great idea. :pccoffee: google here I come. Have a good night.
