Are you joking? Who is thinking of the profits!? Think of all the suckers like me who will spend an extra $500+ (or maybe $900 at a dealer with the markup). Them profits ain't going to come from thin air.

I know. I bought the TRD skid. However the TM stock price has been pretty flat lately. Likely due to the Tundra fiasco.

I know it's been asked and answered, but I can't find it after a search. What is the part number for the TH grill? I like that.

Installed Greenlane Offroad full skid with the crossmember required for a Sport. Now I'm just waiting on the Greenlane sliders that have been sitting in the Canpar warehouse for 5 flipping days!!!

1500 mile oil change. Super easy. Saw a bunch of videos complaining about oil splashing all over but didn’t have any issues. Oil looked good.

    It came in!

I like the quality, but I feel it could use some reinforcement to the main rail channel (specifically at the rear), but overall it’s great. I’ll water test it later, but it appears it will seal great. It’s got a nice rubber overhang and took some minor adjustments to get it to sit just right. The motorized tailgate closes without any issue and seals great.

The rubber gaskets seem a bit long in some areas, but I’ll wait a bit to see if they shrink, otherwise I’ll trim them.

    IMG_2925.jpg IMG_2922.jpg IMG_2920.jpg

You can totally see the left over sticker residue from what looks like re-branding.

I’m just stoked that I can walk away from my truck with tools in the back without worrying they’ll get stolen, but the best use is for putting leftovers and takeout in the back so my truck doesn’t smell like food.

Also, I found a great spot to put the flex speaker while installing it :)

Added my VXI JL audio 5 channel amp and a JL TW3 10D4 to my 24 Tacoma non JBL audio system. This is for the several of us that don’t like the factory sound of our truck’s speakers.
I made the decision to use the front 2 channels to power the factory speakers door and dashboard locations (connected in series) and after about an hour of leveling the inputs and setting the eq I’m actually impressed with the response of the factory speakers.
Yes they don’t hold up the full power of the amp but they do a decent job and I was able to equalize to the point of maximizing the full volume of the radio with less than 10% of distortion.
I’m willing to stick to these speakers until they either burn or they may surprise me and just last for a while
So for any of you out there if you have a way to add a DSP amp/UNIT it might be worth to try your factory speakers and make them last for a bit while you get replacements.
I’m pretty sure I will be updating them for it was worth the trying and letting everyone out there know

I fist checked for the replacement of the 3.5 inch speaker but surprisingly enough I was able to make the factory speakers sound pretty decent at full volume. Obviously carefully equalized to reduce the input from the amp

I’ve found that the factory Toyota speakers actually perform pretty well with a decent amplifier! Even though they look like hot garbage!

Some of the options to replace the factory speakers is the GS690 6X9 AUDIOFROGS the GB 15 AUDIOFROG TWEETERSand or the 3.5 inch AUDOCONTROL Coaxials I think I will add the audiofrogs but curious as I don’t want to loose the vocal coming from the dashboard speakers.

Nice. I can't wait for mine to arrive. My dealership is saying end of the month. How was the install process?

Nice to see a Canadian made option! I'll have to take a closer look at it. Looks great on your truck!

Did you get the straight set or ones with the step out in back? Flat or 15°?

Hey Crispy, when I did my oil change, I use the smaller filter. Can you give me the part number or the location where you purchased the larger filter.?

    Thanks
