I paid 1200 with tax and shipping. Built and finish seem pretty good. I was looking at the cz scorpion but all that polymer doesnt sit well with me. Hopefully ill get to hit the range next week.

Congrats on it! And yeah.. I can't stand the CZ plastic shit.. passed on those real quick after a co-worker got a micro.. now he drools over my mini bog.. lol. It has been a champ with zero issues, suppressed, not suppressed, the weight you'll get used to. It's really balanced imo. Very low recoil and it'll bump very easily.. even with a can.

I ordered a MAT9K to replace my Scorpion. When I first got into firearms I thought the Scorpion was the coolest thing ever. But once I got my hands on it I was kind of let down. Put a little effort into it (handguard and trigger spring kit), but there was always something a little off about it.

Hoping the Mat9k is a little more sleek. The SP9A3 above looks fantastic.

I'm with you. The appeal at first was awesome. Then I actually started playing with one and I just did not care for it. Then I started seeing the other little 9mm pcc platforms out there and I completely forgot about the scorpion.

Edit: I would take those irons off your hands tho if you ever part with it. Lol. Would be awesome backups on my 300 JAKL.

I found that mine shines with a binary trigger. It truly wants to be a full auto. If you decide to get rid of the irons, I've got a MBUS set in black I'd trade ya......

The Theta Forward trigger shoe is an improvement over stock also....

Franklin releasing the binary for the Stribog is what made me finally pull the trigger on it.

How come all the coolest guns can't be purchased and owned in California? (Stupid question I know)

California has a state gun roster and only guns on the roster can be purchased here. It apples to new guns. You can buy used guns not on the roster if they were sold in California before the roster was in effect. For example you can only buy new gen 1, 2 or 3 glocks. You cannot buy gen 4 or 5 glocks as they are not on the roster.
Another example, I have a Taurus Tracker 44 mag I bought pre roster. You cannot buy a new Taurus Tracker as they are not on the approved list . But you could buy my gun from me as it was ok in California prior to the roster. You can find a list of what is on the roster online.

And in some cases the only reason it is not on the roster is that the company will not micro-stamp the firing pin. Thus Glock Gen 4 and 5 even if it is 10-rd by default.

In fact the main and possibly only reason Glock still manufactures the Gen 3 models is so they can sell them in California. That’s several thousand guns a year they sell here and a lot of $$$ that would not be realized if they stopped production of the Gen 3’s.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Added a new toy to the safe recently. My first supressor. Huxwrx Ventum 7.62. Loaded up some subs and took it to the woods. OMG. You hear the click of the firing pin and the bullet hitting the target. Like a pellet gun. Amazing. I'm going to try it on a coyote sometime soon.

Cans definitely make it more enjoyable to be out in the woods. Only hearing the action and the round hit puts a smile on everyones face. Still need to make some chalk and signal rounds for the 37mm.
Eventually, I plan to get an integral for the Scorpion, but the price is just so freaking high, more than twice the price of the gun itself.

ATF guy, before you get a boner thinking you are getting a pay raise, they are all papered already.
