I don’t have the self control in most situations for one more year

Sitting here in my climber....all the mosquitos packed up and headed north, said it was too hot.

Funny y'all should mention shitting... Friday afternoon, hit with the worse case of stomach cramps in years. Managed to make till past sunset. Thought all was clear. Before i climbed down, id did bring my kill kit to the top. (has multi use paper towels and wipes). Start climbing down my sticks and it hit. Seems the 63 year old chocolate starfish aint as strong as it once was. Told my son I'd be a little bit. Clean up in aisle one.

Years ago, maybe 25-28 or so my BIL was set up. Now he'd take his Loggy up 25-20'. He also had no rest in his ass and would constantly reposition the platform. Sit on the hand climber and lift up the platform and try to move around the tree. One morning shortly after sunup he was ****ing around and the platform came off his feet and basically ratcheted the whole way down. Said it looked like a bumper jack. Took him an hour or so to get down. Took my advise to strap the two together after that.


Been a screwy season. Started off seeing a ton of deer, fair amount of buck. Last Saturday I saw 5 legal buck, one around 45 yards. Just needed another couple of seconds, but the doe he was on was more important. The the 70's and low 80's hit last week and daytime movement pretty much dried up. Did see a solid 8 last night and tried to grunt him in but he wasn't interested.

 

I got back from Montana and was immediately hit with either a stomach virus or food poisoning.

so yep, shit my pants while sitting on the couch two days ago.

feeling normal now. Still weak but was able to get a half hour in the gym this morning which is miraculous considering how I was 48 hours ago

 

I bought this kit, its always in my backpack and never looked back!!

 

I always have an extra pair of exofficio boxers on me.. even in my work bag

 

4 hours this afternoon....one spike.

Try again tomorrow somewheres else.

 

Here are some bucks that have been killed in my area over the past week or so.
This one was killed through a local outfitter. The buck scored 205 inches.

 

This one was killed by one of my buddies son, it scored 180.

 

These 2 were killed by a couple of guys I know from Maryland.

 

This one was killed by another buddies son.
