Anyone know what the problem is?

I have had the TRD Cold Air Intake for several years now, as of lately I have had temps ranging from 111 F to 127 F moving and at idle. The outside temp is in the high 60s. I have ruled out that the intake system is the problem, I cleaned and "recharged" the filter. The system is supposed to be pulling air in from the wheel well, and it is still very hot. On the highway on the other hand at speeds of about 80mph, the temp is about 80 F, which is still 15 F over outside temp. I don't know if its heat soak from the engine or if I need to replace something else. I know the temps from the infotainment system I have installed, it has several gauges that are all accurate pulled from my OBDII port. My car specs are in the description of my profile.

    Thanks!

Maybe the folks in the 2nd Gen forum will have a better idea?
I’d look to see if there’s a way to test the sensor and see if your not so cold air system is leaking.

15 degrees above ambient temp isn't too bad.
The IAT/MAF is basically setting right on top of the engine.
Heat rises, Heat soaks, and engine bays get warm.

    I wouldn't worry about it.

If you want to "test" the sensor.
Check it after the engine has been off for awhile.
See if the IAT is close to the outside temp. Key on, Engine off.

A few weeks ago, I was messing around my data app.
It was close to 80 outside. I'm pretty sure sure I seen 90's on the IAT.
But I can't remember if that was idling or driving......

Either way, 15+ degrees over ambient while driving is nothing I'm going to worry about.

I totally get the +15 F but the really high temps are from highway only. Around town averaging 30 mph is in the 100's in high 60's. The sensor is correct, at cold start it says a couple degrees warmer than outside. I'm only kind of worried because I maybe touch the highway once a week.
