    Skid plate doesn’t bolt on I have a regular cab 4 cylinder automatic rwd
    What do I need to mount.

    You should be able to bolt it on Using the existing skid plate bolt location they should overlap.

    No where to mount no original skid plate underneath I think my truck didn’t come with it

    I have a 4WD but from talking with friends who have 2WDs, they did not come with factory skid plates or mounts. People have successfully done it but it will require you to make the necessary modifications.

    28 years of livin' Gen1 TacoLife...
    it might be likely that the original welded nuts to bolt onto rusted and rotted right off the support brackets from the radiator support area,

    did you check the parts diagram with your rig's VIN to see IF it has that undercover splash shield aka skid plate listed as a part on the 2wd model
