I am trying to figure out what lift I have, I have some pictures of the leveling kit.
I am experiencing bouncing with my new control arms(3 inch lift arms) I’m wondering if I need to go back to a factory control arm. IMG_0126.jpg IMG_0128.jpg

Any alignment specs post install of UCAs? Lift looks like standard 3/2 level kit. Not sure what coils those or the spring rate. Are you saying it didn’t bounce prior to?

Assuming you bought with the kit already installed and have made no changes

The truck had the kit already, I took it to a shop for an alignment, he said I needed new uca’s for the “lift”
My truck wasn’t acting up with the factory uca’s
It’s a 2012 trd Baja, coils are the trd pro Bilstein

This is the alignment after I installed new Lca’s that the shop said I also needed, after he couldn’t get it right after new uca’s

This is with the aftermarket uca’s.
However the bounce wasn’t there with factory uca, so I’m unsure if I should just get factory control arms, or get new shocks/struts I am unsure on spring rate

If you look closely the spring rate is often printed on the spring some where

In theory wouldn’t the added caster actually give you a little less preload?? Not sure it would be noticeable though.. need smarter people to tune in

I would think, but idk. It drives pretty smooth on straights and flat, but as soon as you hit any bumps, it’s damn near uncontrollable.

Explain what you mean by bounce. Do those ucas have caster built in? Usually the isssue you explained is poor caster or high angles on the tie rod ( bump steer). But if those are the alignment #s post new ucas and lcas they’re really aren’t bad. Who installed the ucas and lcas and were they torqued under load?

The UVA’s are advertised as high caster. It’s almost like a boat. Tracks straight on flat.
