New battery 5 yrs old finally died, tested and replaced a week ago. Won't start all of a sudden, charged (alt and batt just under 14 while running) but batt drops to 9.5 with key out and everything off. Parasitic draw or hard to believe bad new batt?

I have heard that you can get a bad one sometimes, maybe take it to where you bought it and let them check/warranty the battery

Well Walmart replaced it for free and the problem is gone! At least for the time being anyway :). I would have had to pay to have this diagnosed so thanks again for, what I thought was very long shot, the suggestion po35042!!!
