Good morning. I've noticed that my Tacoma started developing a loud drone noise coming from the mid rear. The engine run and sounds normal. I'm betting it has to be the exhaust system. It is rusty but I didn't see any holes from a quick view. I'm guessing it has to be a small hole somewhere down there.

Probably your muffler rusting out. Had to replace mine last year because it had rotted out along the seam on the back face (toward the exhaust tip)

An inspection mirror might be helpful

It's probably time for a good muffler shop.

Yeap that was the first thing that came to mind. I was like, I hope a neighbor wasn't pissed about the Trump yards signs. Going back on topic, it's still there. However I do recall a large object hitting the bottom last week during my work commute. Either way. I'm going to a muffler shop sooner than later.
