Going to start this thread acknowledging I am insane.

Now that's out of the way, I made the unfortunate discovery today that I have indeed blown the head gasket on my 2008 4X4 Tacoma. 4 cylinder is bleeding into the cooling system and the 6th cylinder is bleeding through into the 4th cylinder. The truck has 240k miles on it and the engine does burn a reasonable amount of oil.

I bought the truck back in 2019 and it was bone stock. Since then I have touched every last piece of the truck and made it mine and do love it dearly. The easy solution is replacing the head gasket which I plan to probably do in the coming months just to keep me going for now until my other project vehicle (1977 f150) becomes my daily for the summer.

I have always dreamed of diesel swapping the truck but could never justify it as its my daily so I cant have down time as well as why would I get rid of a perfectly fine engine. I can no longer say those are my excuses.

I am looking into a D4D swap to do to this truck and looking for people who have done it and could use some advice as of course there is a lotof unknowns that I would love some idea of before diving in. I am aware of Dieseltoys and have just emailed them but by the sounds of it they don't supply wiring harness' or much DIY help anymore.

Looking for details on wiring harness and potential gearing issues one may have with installing.

    Advice is GREATLY appreciated

Here are a couple obligatory photos of my truck from recently to prove I am insane and that nothing is stock anymore.
