[IMG] so i ordered the front sections from Safe T cap and the replacement frames are different than originals.the old frsmes are straight rectangle "tubes", the new front frame section starts square from the bottom , then flutes out wider but only where it turs up towards the top of the wheel. The cab mount brackets are also different, being reinforced with metal across the lower base,
all in all i had to cut each piece into 3, and cut down the height to fit under the fluted part.
I called saf t cap and apparently im the first person to try to use their product on a 1st gen that already had the frame replaced, as they were not aware the specs changed.
im wear about doing the mid now, because i will have to cut off the front spring mounts, as the new piece from saf t cap comes with one attached. any ideas would be helpful thanks!!

Picture for compensation will help. Replacement frame during the recall didn’t change the designed specs.

    About the spring perches…..
    Safety Items
    Wouldn’t touch
I.E. if suspension mounting point damaged on a conventional frame…..ins. companies have to RR frame for liability reasons

interesting that all perches would not come with “sections sold”

    not saying can’t be done
Better have protractor/plumb bob/complete factory measurements ready
