I went to the dealer and told them that I wanted an Xtracab. Here is the answer I got: We don't have those, but look at these double cab Tacomas. (all 139 of them) The 2024s are piling up which probably explains the lack of 2025s in mid November. They have a lot of inventory to move before releasing a new model year that depreciates the value of those sitting on the lot.

Xtracabs are a unicorn. 245 in the US with 180 of them being SR models.

Spoke with my local dealer yesterday and made an appointment to discuss putting deposit on a new 2025, to avoid having to buy a truck that gets loaded with the port adds, and random dealer adds.
He told me they are no longer in production on the 2024,s are begining production on 2025,s and its a good idea to come in , get my name on exactly what i want , told me from now ,of placing order, it will take up to 3 months…..so a step in the right direction, i did mention a concern for the current transmission issues and he told me from what they are hearing on the dealership level that has been addressed at toyota as well as some other things ….so at this point we will see , its under warrenty in worst case , im not worried ,not first toyota buying them for 45 years.

I drove an SR extra cab in Monroe WI a couple weeks ago.
    I passed on it.
    It sold three days later.

First one I have seen in the wild.

You can only get the Xtracab in SR, SR5, and Prerunner models. So it doesn't surprise there are not many made.
