    You should run Valvoline Restore and Protect. The stuff is amazing at cleaning out the oil control rings on higher mileage engines.

    I put in a small bottle of the moly additive @ 150K.

    Interestingly;
    "moly" (molybdenum disulfide, MoS2) would have been considered a good additive for engines in World War 2, particularly in aircraft, as it provided emergency running capabilities even if the engine lost oil due to damage, allowing pilots to make emergency landings; this property was recognized and utilized by military forces during the war.

    moly in WWII:
    • Function:
      When added to engine oil, moly forms a solid lubricant film on metal surfaces, which helps prevent excessive wear and allows the engine to run for a limited time even with significantly reduced oil levels.

    • Military application:
      Pilots in World War II sometimes added moly to their aircraft engines to ensure they could land safely if their oil tank was hit during combat.

    • Post-war development:
      The company "Liqui Moly" was founded based on the concept of using liquid molybdenum disulfide as an engine oil additive, and its origins are linked to the use of moly by the US military during and after World War II.

    We won that one by the way.

    I have moly oil free from work.
    Put it in don’t really care don’t really notice a difference

    if I get free oil I put it in
    If it’s not free I go buy some affordable decent oil with or without moly. And I put it in.
