I just bought a new (to me) 2000 Taco and it's time to sell my beloved '98 manual Limited. I noticed the rules for the selling section on here has a minimum of 50 posts- that's going to take me awhile to do as I just joined today. Any advice on places to sell my '98? I haven't had any luck on FB Market Place or Craigslist. Just posted on AutoTrader today. Located in Minneapolis, MN.

I’m in the same boat with the 50 posts. Try bringatrailer.

Keep lowering the price until you feel like you've insulted yourself and then go a little lower than that.

Sounds like a gem. What's wrong with it/why'd you get another?

    Thanks for all the questions.

I'm the 4th owner. It spent most of its life in the Pacific Northwest. Second owner brought it to MT, and 3rd owner brought it to MN for a summer bike / fishing rig. I've had it for about 2 years and mostly its seen very little winter driving.

The main reasons I bought the '00 and selling the '98 are that the '00 is: an automatic (wife refuses to learn how to drive manual), has a slight lift kit, and is green (my favorite color). Main things wrong with the '98 are it was an aftermarket cat converter that is very slightly less efficient (and sometimes trips the check engine light) and the tape deck doesn't work (gotta be able to play my Creedence tape).

    Here's come more pics

As someone who recently did a lot of internet truck hunting, I would treat the rust. The frame is on its way to rot and you've got some brewing on the tailgate, but with a little elbow grease you can clean it up and slow it down. A truck of this age with rust will turn away most buyers, and will need to be addressed. If you're looking to sell at a decent price, you've got some work to do. Prep it for sale, do it right, and it'll be worth it for both you and the new owner.

You should be able to hit 50 posts here with your research (or a DIY thread) and there's a ton helpful folks on the board to share advice. Plus, you've got a new truck to wrench on, too.

Good luck - it's a beautiful truck worth saving!
