I want to upgrade to manual locking hubs for my 2015 tacoma and was curious what do i need. Theres no info on what i need. Most need to upgrade cv axles and hub assembly but i cant find any info if its the same for the 2nd gen tacomas aswell. I tried looking up hub assemblys but none seem to look right because usually it needs 5 extra holes on the assembly for the studs so you can install the manual hub lock. Desperatly need help my head hurts tryna find info on it. Thanks in advance

There is no manual locking hubs for 2nd gens that I'm aware of, the disconnect is in the front axle.

Not unless someone makes a kit that I don't know about.

No the CV axles turn all the time, there is a collar in the front axle operated by the ADD Actuator that disengages the front axle from the front driveshaft in 2wd.

That's what I'm wondering, unless your doing an FJ or other manual transfer case swap there's nothing to be gained here.
The 4wd system works perfectly fine on these trucks as long as you use it and make sure the vent hoses on the actuators don't crack/come off.

    I agree.
Unless you do the FJ swap. Manual hubs are worthless.

Yup, just cycle from 2h to 4h constantly to keep the components moving and make sure not crossing and chilling with that ADD under water and you’ll be good man.
