Too many to list. Maybe someday I will.
    Hello all, new member here!
I searched a bit on here to find my answer but couldnt find exactly waht I was lookig for. I have an oppurtunity to buy a set of Stop Tech 6 piston calipers and rotors barely used for a decent price. But I was really looking at getting a Power Brake setup. I know that Power Brake designs their calipers specifically for the vehicle you are adding them to which is better for overall performance. The Stooptech I think is a caliper for numerous applications by using different brackets.

    Want to hear your thoughts.
Thanks and look forward to being on this forum

If the power brake setup was specific for the tacoma....... then why is there a caliper adapter bracket for their tacoma kit?

If what you say is true, I would think they would design a tacoma specific caliper that fits without the adapter.

The "adapter bracket" adapts a general usage caliper to multi applications

With that said.... powerbrake or stoptech/SOS. They are basically equal so go with what you can afford.

Stoptech tests all of their kits and designs them based off of the testing they have done. Stoptech uses piston size optimization to make sure they aren’t screwing up the brake bias and making the vehicle worse doing a brake upgrade. Stoptech only officially sells a st40 big brake kit. The St60 kits were designed by SOS performance and had help from Stoptech deciding which caliper/piston sizes to go with. Stoptech has undergone a few ownership changes in the past 10 years and it is starting to show. I know the one big Stoptech dealer near me has virtually stopped ordering in their products unless it’s a special order. They used to stock every pad option for the st40 and st60 calipers and now they are lucky to have 2 options for each caliper on hand.
