They are pushing hard, we'll see. Rumors are aplenty after this election, but the consensus is that they will launch and layoff directly after.

I carried the land plane to be painted orange today and they were running black first. I said be right back.

 

They are waiting on the dump truck.Only skidsteer I've ever seen with a Reece hitch.




And moving one of the gutter dumps into the storm drain.

 

I would be if I accepted the position I was offered in July. I interviewed with them and Amazon- Project Kuiper back in March, got offers from both. Was seriously interested, money wasn't right.
They are both the hot new thing, a bright red Zr1 Corvette per se.
The shop I'm in is a 2012 Camry with one window that doesn't roll all the way down.

I've done the tech work hanging off the side of a tower, tank, structure etc that is physically grueling. I have to think long term when I'm assessing these jobs. I have a pension that I won't easily walk away from.

If it were me right about now they’d find an arrowhead or a strand of hair & shutdown the whole shabang until they toss the area with a fine tooth comb. Six months later they eventually report it was a piece of LEGO.

 

Well shop, that service advisor job must not have wanted me. Not even so much as a phone call. Keep looking I guess

 

No worries there. They’ll call & expect you over Immediately once the current person quits. Interview’s are a two way street. I’ve got up mid interview, shook hand with the panel & left a few times when I realized the fit wasn’t right. Maybe better that they didn’t call. Just sayin’

 

I figured if that's all the courtesy I get then it probably wasn't worth it

 

We've been talking about hiring a service advisor here in the shop, if you want it, the job is yours.

It doesn't pay well, none actually. The benefits are amazing, they are....


We'll expect you to start immediately and be on call 23.5 hours a day.

Agreed. Imagine trying to approach someone in that organization with a problem or concern. Likely be on you to solve it. No communication is a biggie red flag.

 

Agreed. I firmly believe that if you apply for a job, even if you don't get an interview they should atleast have the good will to say thanks for applying but no thanks.

 

Good thing I learned how to thread mill Friday. Had to move a couple M20-2.5 holes over. Since I'm the only one in the shop and our forklift is broke, missing, we don't have a forklift, I used the engine hoist.

Yup. If they dont its a hostile environment to work there and you are better off not getting hired there
