Rattling 2020 tacoma in cold weather

    I started my 2020 2.7 tacoma this morning and made a loud rattle at start, i got scared and turned it off and turn it on again, and the sound disappear, mileage is only 110k, i checked the previous posts and there was a post about the loud rattle but did not post again on what he did, any update?

    And make sure you are clear you have the 4 cyl 2.7L like you did above. Most folks have the V6.

    My first thought is also VVT related, but just a wild guess. You can find videos of it on YT - can compare that noise to your issue. Are you running the proper oil viscosity and regular oil changes?

    Yes, using mobil one 0w-20, every 3-5k
