I’m sure someone on here will find it, but I’ve looked for a couple years and can’t. I installed the KTJO tail gate pop and lock back in 2019 and after my passenger side front door will open when the truck is locked and sets off the alarm. What’s annoying is you can attempt to open the other 3 doors and you’re simply just locked out no alarm everything is fine. With that said the front passenger door opens and sets the alarm off. I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this and if so how’d you fix it. I’m wondering if it could just possibly be the actuator in the door it’s self that’s not locking or what. I figured I’d ask prior to tearing the door apart for what could be a simple known fix. Thanks in advance.

One version of the tailgate lock went to the passenger door area. Now they go to the drivers side kick panel. I’d listen if the door actuator is working, I’d also check the connection from the tail gate if it goes to the passenger door.

Does the lock actuate when you press the button on the door inside the cab?

Have you tried disconnecting the harness for the tailgate lock and returning the truck to stock configuration? I'd start with that before taking the door apart. Should tell you rather quickly if it's something in the kit causing the problem.

I’m planning to disconnect it today. I thought I had spliced it in, but just remembered I got one of the kits that had the harness that just got sandwiched between the factory connectors. I took the panels off by the passenger side door to check however it was dark so I didn’t feel like getting into it to much.
