    Hi,

I am looking for an honest shop that will replace my TPMS senors in all 5 tires. Firestone quoted me over 500.00 parts and labor.

    2nd

How hard is it to replace the A/C blower motor resistor? I topped off the R134a the other day, so it blows cold, but only on high.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Get you a set of Denso sensors off Rock Auto, most tire shops will replace and program them for free when you buy tires or for a relatively small fee if you just change the sensors.

Easy to change, do note that often the pigtail burns up as well. There is an updated resistor and pigtail.

    Updated part numbers:

    Resistor: 87138-04070
    Connector: 82141-04Q80

The wire colors on the updated connector are slightly different as shown below.

^ FYI I’m replacing mine at the moment and the replacement pigtail for my resistor has two “white with black stripe” connections.

one is a solid white and thick black stripe.. the other is a thin black stripe on a solid white. Idk if mine is just a mistake but I’m going to assume the thin black stripe is a mistake and pretend it’s solid white.

plugging it back up now and hoping this is right

If you are in the Tampa Bay area I have a bead buster and TPMS scan/relearn tool. Buy the sensors and I'll install and program for free if you help with the wheel removal. I have a driveway and 2 floor jacks. If you have 35's with bead lock rims then go to Firestone, LOL.
If you have stock Toyota alloy or steel wheels I recommend Denso sensors, Rock Auto has them for $36 each plus shipping. Last ones I bought from RA shipped from Miami and arrived in 1 day.
