i definitely need to get a set of those. harbor freight debuted a set at SEMA for $10, but they're not in stores yet.

in the last 2 weeks even, i've been making control console braces in trucks-- i kept thinking how much easier it'd be with these magnets to allow me to hold everything and then transfer over out of the truck to weld up...

Planning my welds/tacks has increased speed tenfold and everything just looks better. I am very happy with how these are coming out.

I wasn't done this morning okay?! The fact that I did one whole slider start to finish without a glaring fuckup is something to be celebrate for this amatuer.

 

No I meant the measuring and marking your areas to weld when I described doing stitch welds

haha well I ran out of time some of us arent retired and yeah I was marking them last time but this time I also added this diagonal mark to like let me know the end is getting close too which was super helpful for me

 

Highly recommend this for welding marks. I have a bunch of different refills for it, but the silver streak is great for exactly what you're doing. Your markings light up when you're welding. So easy to see.

I use the red refills for marking saw cuts and notches.

Silver streak refills for weld stops and hand plasma layouts.
