FYI, Toyota dropped an update to all 3rd Gen Tacoma 3.5L ECU’s on August 29th, 2024. All Cal Id’s will be updated and the only real change is the DTC that will be present if you use a block heater and cold start, if that makes sense. Nothing else changes besides the Cal ID for the ECU. If you’ve gotten a tune from Brody of Downhill Dragon Tuning or a tune from me, I will update you to the latest version free of charge as a part of my lifetime support for tuning. This is also an oppurtunity to update any changes made to your truck since then including tire size, gear changes, AGM battery, or additional engine performance mods. Again, Downhill Dragon and Triple C previous customers get free lifetime support and I will gladly update your ECU and tune to the latest version. It’ll take me about a week to input all the data into the new files. Takes about 2 to 2.5hrs per Cal ID on 3rd Gen Tacoma’s for me to input every map. Matt from VF Tuner said they’ll have support for all of the new Cal ID’s by the end of this week. Hit me up if you’d like to get updated.

Got Pistons in the park tomorrow morning. Beside that, doing house chores, hanging with Grandma, and then hanging with daughter n granddaughter.

 

That sounds like fun, What time does the gates open for Pistons in the Park? What time does it end? I have an appoint in Central Austin at 11 but I'll come join y'all for a little while this morning.

 

It starts at 8am. They do it every first Sunday of the month

Moved to BCS area in July......Finally got shed built and enuff stuff out of garage to get truck in. Did some decorating with banners and such soooooo....busted out some long stored schwag and givin it some play.......

 

Where is BCS?

 

Bryan/College Station.....Brazos Valley........Aggieland......I live at the racetrack. My house is right about where pit lane exited at turn 1 of old Texas World Speedway. Been riding mtb on what is left of turn 3 and 4 embankments as well as what is left of start line main grandstand embankment. They are being shaved down with earth moving stuff and the north half of the community is being graded out to add infastructure. Lot of great sunrises and sunsets up there since gettin here in July. I did want to wheel the truck up on the main bleacher hill but failed to do so before they got to tearing them down.

 

I got a question I'm trying to get things figured out before I start getting things together. I've been reading around and coming to understand ls400 and transmission can be swap in. So no I'm wondering do if I use stand alone do I need one conversation harnesses or could I just use the one from Donner car plug in everything. Was also think about getting cluster .

You will need a conversion and stand alone ECU most likely
