I have a 2016 SR Base with steel wheels. The sensor valve stems are metal. My buddy gave me the OEM take-offs from his 2020 TRD (see pic). Will the sensors from my steelies work, and if not, what sensors do I need for the aluminum rims?

It's my understanding that the angle on the sensor is different for steel vs aluminum/alloy wheels.

Same here. That's why I'm asking for the correct part info.

On 2nd gen you could use the steel wheel sensors with a set of TRD OR wheels by turning the sensors around 180 degrees. I’d read it was possible on this forum but the installer at the tire store knew the trick as well. Ran them that way for over 80,000 miles.

Good to know! So one of the current sensors is dead. I'm sure they're original and other 3 are not far behind.
