3rd gen front diff plug issue

Changed front diff fluid today on my '21 TRD OR for 30k service and replaced copper drain plug gasket but could not find the crush washer on the fill plug.

Checked under truck and did not find in oil pan I used or stuck to opening. When I reinstalled it I put a crush washer on, but have no idea if there was one on there before I removed or not. Made sure everything was torque'd to spec but not finding that washer is bothering me.

Does anyone know if the front diff fill plug on the 21 OR model needs a fill plug crush washer or if it comes stock without one?

12157-10010. I recommend you change the fill plug to Part# 90341-18060. The stock fill and drain plugs use an allen key type plug that eventually get stuck in there and are a pain to remove.

For the drain plug I recommend using Part# 90431-24016, for the drain washer Part# 90430-24017.

I recently went through this debacle with the stock plugs. What a headache. Switch to these recommended plugs/part numbers and thank yourself later.

 

I just changed my front diff fluid last weekend and the fill had a crush washer on it. 21 TRD Off Road as well.

 

alright well either i dropped the old fill crush somewhere and couldn't find it, or I'm blind and put two crush washers on there and torqued it down. Guess I'll have to wait til next service to find out.
